The 2023 Southwester College Showcase proudly highlights the bands of the Sweetwater Union High School District for its 56th Annual Band Pageant! The Showcase will take place on Thursday, November 16 at 6PM at Southwestern College’s DeVore Stadium.

AALRR invites all California public education students e to participate in the 2023 Education Law Art Contest. This contest gives students in the 11th or 12th grade the opportunity to show their creativity and win prizes for themselves and their schools.

Tonight, Eastlake Middle School art students will have their first ever “Art by the Inch” art show and sale.

It’s sure to be fun, with free snacks and a make-your-own-art table. Come and support the artists if you can, even if you don’t plan to buy any art. If you are interested in purchasing student art, the art is $1.00 per square inch. All proceeds will be used for purchasing art supplies for Eastlake Middle School’s art students. See you there!

Dynamics in dance is how the dancer moves. The dynamic dance workshop is an exhilarating experience that encourages self-expression and fosters a strong sense of rhythm and movement. Through engaging activities and choreography, students will discover their inner dancers and develop a deeper appreciation for dance.

The Summer Arts Academy for VAPA students was amazing! We would like to congratulate and thank all the students, teachers, parents, and staff for a successful camp this year!
The SUHSD Summer Arts Academy was a FREE one-week camp offered each summer to Sweetwater Union High School District students that are currently enrolled in the arts. The camp celebrated the Visual Arts, TV/Film, Photography, Choir, Concert Band, Guitar, Orchestra, Mariachi, and Color Guard.
Once again, we would like to thank all the students that participated this year. Have a great summer break and see you next year!
