The 2022 Southwester College Showcase proudly highlights the bands of the Sweetwater Union High School District for its 55th Annual Band Pageant! The Showcase will take place on Thursday, November 17 at 6PM in DeVore Stadium.

Tickets:

Presale tickets – $5.00 (plus a $0.50 online processing fee.)
All online sales will close 24 hours before event, November 16th.

Tonight the Sweetwater Summer Theatre Institute’s production of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast begins! Performances are Wednesday, July 27th – Friday, July 29th at 6:30 pm and Saturday, July 30th at 2:00 pm.

The production will be hosted at,

General admission is $10, Students & Seniors (65+) is $5. (All tickets are Cash Only.) Limited Seating. The box office opens one hour prior to performance. See you there!

Celebrating its 18th year, the Sweetwater Summer Theatre Institute proudly presents this year’s production of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast.

Production Dates: July 27-30, 2022 | Wednesday – Friday at 6:30 pm and Saturday at 2:00 pm.

The production will be hosted at San Ysidro High School in the Dr. Maida Torres Stanovik Performing Arts Center. (5353 Airway Road, San Diego, CA 92154)

Summer Arts Academy – 2022

The Summer Arts Academy for VAPA students was amazing! We would like to congratulate and thank all the students, teachers, parents, and staff for a successful camp this year!

The SUHSD Summer Arts Academy was a FREE one-week camp offered each summer to Sweetwater Union High School District students that are currently enrolled in the arts. The camp celebrated the Visual Arts, Choir, Concert Band, Dance, Orchestra, Mariachi, Baile Folklórico, and Color Guard.

Once again, we would like to thank all the students that participated this year. Have a great summer break and see you next year!

The Summer Arts Academy deadline to register is today! The SUHSD Summer Camp for VAPA students is June 6 – 10, 2022 from 9AM – 3PM each day. The Summer Arts Academy will be held this year at Chula Vista High School. The SUHSD Summer Arts Academy is a FREE one week camp offered each summer to Sweetwater Union High School District students that are currently enrolled in the arts.

District Color Guard & Drum Line Showcase is Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at 6:30pm.

Location: Eastlake High School –
Ruth Chapman Performing Arts Center

Featuring SUHSD’s middle and high school students. Tickets are $5 and are only available in advance; please contact a Teacher/Band Director at your school.

It features the finest middle and high school Honor Band students. These are auditioned groups, including the best players selected to rehearse and perform under the direction of two special guest conductors for an enriching musical experience.
