2018 Auditions – The Addams Family

The 16h Annual Sweetwater Summer Theatre Institute presents THE ADDAMS FAMILY.

Audition Dates:

  • Wednesday, May 2 from 4-6:30 pm at Chula Vista High School – Performing Arts Center Dance & Choir rooms 1903 & 1904
  • Thursday, May 3 from 4-6:30 pm at San Ysidro High School – Performing Arts Center “Black Box”
  • Monday, May 7 from 4-6:30 pm at Bonita Vista High School – Bolles Theatre

Performer Auditions:

  1. Sign up for an audition date and time (here).
  2. Fill out the audition form (here). You can fill this out online and print OR print a blank form and fill out by hand. Form must be brought with you to the audition.

Deadline for sign ups is noon the day of the audition. No walk-on auditions will be allowed. All auditions must be scheduled via the online portal above.

Prepare 16 measures of a song of your choice and bring the music track (without vocals) on an ipod/music player. Wear comfortable clothing that you are able to dance in and arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled time to check-in.


Call-back is Wednesday, May 9 at Chula Vista High School – Little Theatre on K St. from 4-7 pm. Be prepared to sing and read.

M-F 7/2 – 7/6 from 9 am – 5 pm (No rehearsal on 7/4)
M-F 7/9 – 7/13 from 9 am – 5 pm

M-F 7/16 – 7/20 from 4:30 pm – 9 pm
Sat. 7/21 from 9 am – 5 pm

Tech Crew Application:

    2. Prepare a brief resume with your tech experience highlighted.
    3. Form and resume must be brought with you to an audition day. No online sign up needed for tech crew, walk-ins are welcome.

District Scene and Monologue Festival

The 2nd Annual District Scene and Monologue Festival was Saturday, January 27th, 2018 from 9AM – 3PM Location: Chula Vista High School Jack Tygett Performing Arts Center (820 Fourth Avenue, Chula Vista, CA 91911)

It featured workshops, dramatic & comedic scenes and monologues adjudicated by professionals. Hosted by Chula Vista High and San Ysidro High Drama Departments. Registration deadline was Friday, January 19, 2018.
