2017 Mariachi Scholarship Foundation – Winners

Congratulations to the 2017 Mariachi Scholarship Foundation award recipients! Concert & Award Ceremony is Thursday, May 18 from 7:30 – 9:30 pm at Southwestern College Mayan Hall (900 Otay Lakes Rd., Chula Vista, 91910)

Featuring Mariachi performances from Chula Vista High School, Sweetwater High School, Otay Ranch High School, Southwest High School, and Intermediate & Advanced Southwestern College Mariachis. Tickets are $10 at the door ($7 students/seniors) Free parking in Lot “O” on Otay Lakes, South of “H” Street.

District Color Guard and Drumline Show

District Color Guard and Drumline Show was Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at 6pm. It featured SUHSD’s Color guards, Drumlines and special guests. General admission was $5 at the door. Location: Eastlake High School – Gymnasium (1120 Eastlake Parkway, Chula Vista, CA 91915)

Congratulations to the Montgomery High School Aztec Concert Band for receiving a Unanimous Superior rating at the CMEA Band and Orchestra Festival at Olympian High School on Friday, April 14, 2017!

Congratulations to our VAPA Director Jeff Kover. On March 13th, 2017 he was presented a plaque for his support of the Maytime Band Review.
